Dog you just thought me something my math teacher tried to do for years
Idk about the rest of you but… I’m def not doing Logs in my head. Im going the “long way” by using my calculator
1+2+3=1.2.3
Thank you I honestly forgot how logs worm it's been too long
I know 2¹⁰=1024 so milion is that squared so 20 times
thank you fascinating
Its quite difficult when you genuinely can’t determine if the two lines are supposed to be equal or not.
This was so helpful, I have taken 2 full statistics classes and never got such a straightforward explanation of logarithms. Sometimes it feels like teachers are trying to make it hard!
Fold it just 5 more times and it is over 33 million layers
Same as trying to fold paper, the thickness is doubled.
it’s 20 folds
God. I wish they would have just given a real world explanation of what a logarithm was like this in school instead of pretending log makes sense devoid of any context.
Me crying in the corner because I wish he was my maths teacher I'd have loved maths
This has been the best explanation and visualization of logarithms ive ever heard and seen
You explained more about the log button on my calculator more in 60 seconds than any of my teachers did in the 13 years of school (I’m counting k-12)
So 21 folds?
Also, if your calculator doesn't let you adjust the base in your log you can do ln(1048576)/ln(2) to get the same result.
I have never really understood logs and just learnt how to put it in the calculator correctly. Thank you for giving me this amazing explanation ❤
If you want to drop 1k a month for a new car. Then buy a new car. If you can cash out a used car with no monthly payment. Dang I rather do that. 🤷♂️🤷♂️ it’s just a car.
Learned more from this 15 second video then I did from highschool algebra
I knew it was bs the moment I saw that equation 8)
They did NOT collaborate. The each came up with a poof -- 2 proofs. Give them proper kudos.
videos i needed 17 years ago when I was learning calculus and physics to know wtf they even meant when they were talking about logarithms. Or ya know, they probably explained it during one of the...most of the classes I skipped to sleep, play video games, or generally anything else but the one thing i was putting myself tens of thousands of dollars into life long debt to do... yeah maybe it wasn't my professors' fault i didn't know what it was until today
But it's 21?
20 is wrong
Thats.... Now i finally understand logarithm 🙃 took me 8 years and you did it in 20 seconds or less
Even illegal money lenders don't charge 1.7% per day.
No bank in history has paid that much interest. EVER
Is this the guy from khan academy????
Good example of why log (1) is = 0, since here 6 =2*3 but also 6=1*2*3, and you can keep adding ones indefinitely, which shows that since we can use this specific property in our log rules, log of (1) must be 0 as to not change the answer. From log(2*3) to log(1*2*3)
Thank you so much, I can finally understand logarithms.
She said "saved", not "invest".
Bro I’m taking calculus 3 in a few months and the school system never taught me that. Wth
You totally blew away every teacher and Professor I’ve had throughout my entire educational career. Props.
I've always wanted to know what log did. And in a random RUclips short I figure it out?
10 48 5 76
Its a fake troll podcast
I never understood logarithms before thank you!
Where are people learning math that they were taught logarithms but not what they mean or how they are applied practically?
you can also go the engineering approach and claim 2^(x*10)=10^(x*3), and immediately see that 2^20=10^6
💪
Noone cared at school noone still cares
couldnt you do reciprocal nth term
Bro, how did Muhammad Al Khwarizmi come up with this computational technique? This is some seriously powerful maths.
Is this high school math? I figured it out by tearing it like measurements
What's wrong with a Silicon Valley bank....ohhhhh.
Did the girls know they used infinite series to do it though?
This is unbelievable
Wouldnt that be 4.1 million? Im losttt lmao
the answer is 12
